Terms of Service · What to know before you use the service

Review these terms before claiming an offer

Inboxtick provides temporary inboxes and forwarding aliases to keep shopping sign-up emails separate from your main inbox. It doesn’t replace store policies and isn’t suitable for important accounts you may need to recover later.

Last updated . Please read these terms and limitations before using the service.

01 / What the service offers

First, decide how long you need to receive email.

Use a temporary email address to receive messages for a short time, such as completing a shopping sign-up where permitted, getting a one-time verification code, or testing an email delivery flow you’re authorized to test. It isn’t a long-term email account and can’t send email from the temporary address.

Use a forwarding alias to route incoming mail over time: messages sent to the alias are forwarded to the real email address you use to sign in. You can manage aliases and view archived messages in forwarding management. Forwarding depends on the sender, delivery network, and receiving mailbox; it isn’t permanent email storage or a guarantee of continued delivery.

Ways to use the service and what you need to keep separately
Service Suitable for Limitations and recommendations
Temporary email Short-term verification codes, one-time sign-up emails, and authorized delivery tests. New addresses start with a 3-hour validity period; follow the countdown. The address and its emails are deleted when it expires.
Forwarding alias Route ongoing shopping or subscription emails to your own inbox. Sign-in is required to manage aliases. Don’t rely on an alias for future mail after it’s disabled or deleted.
30-day archive View recent email records and available message content in forwarding management. This isn’t a permanent backup. Save order details and refund information you need to keep.
Third-party stores Register, verify, and use offers under each store’s own terms. A store may reject temporary addresses. We don’t guarantee address acceptance, offer eligibility, or email delivery.

If you’re new to the service, start with the step-by-step coupon sign-up guide. If you’ll need to receive email later, use long-term forwarding instead of treating a temporary address as a permanent contact.

02 / Expiration and deletion

When the countdown ends, email reception stops.

The on-screen countdown shows how much time is left for the current inbox. To keep using it, click “Extend by 3 hours” before the address expires, then check that the action succeeded and the countdown updated. Clicking the button, a failed request, or closing the page doesn’t mean the extension took effect.

When the validity period ends, the temporary address and its emails are deleted. Don’t count on support staff to restore them. “Get a new address” doesn’t give the old one a backup route: a successful address change creates a new inbox and deletes the old one, which can no longer receive your mail.

Complete verification and save what you need before changing addresses or leaving. A screenshot or copied address won’t extend its validity.

Before submitting an address, check these three things

  1. Make sure the home page shows a real address and the time remaining—not “Getting an address” or demo content.
  2. Allow time for verification, resending, and troubleshooting. If you need an extension, rely on the success message shown on screen.
  3. Save order information you need to keep somewhere you control. If the store allows it, change the account email to an address you can continue to access.

If you realize the verification codes haven’t all arrived after the address expires, check with the sending platform to see whether you can change your email or restart verification. Don’t keep resending to the old address. For instructions on extending or changing an address, see the FAQs on the home page.

03 / Fair use

Keep promotions separate; don’t bypass the rules.

You must still follow applicable laws and the terms of the sending and shopping platforms. A temporary address only changes where you receive email; it doesn’t change your identity, eligibility for offers, or a platform’s restrictions on sign-ups.

Only handle emails you’re authorized to receive and view. Don’t let someone else’s account details or sensitive information end up at an address you can’t keep under your control. The lists below explain what’s permitted and prohibited.

Allowed: use the service as intended

  • Register normally and claim offers you’re eligible for, if the store accepts this type of address.
  • Receive emails needed for a shopping sign-up, membership verification, or trial application.
  • Test systems you own or are authorized to test, including how verification codes and notification emails appear.
  • Use forwarding aliases to distinguish different sources, and disable or delete aliases you no longer need.

Prohibited: abuse, impersonation, and bypassing restrictions

  • Send or help distribute spam, phishing, malware, or fraudulent messages.
  • Impersonate someone else, take over another person’s account, or request verification codes you’re not authorized to receive.
  • Create addresses in bulk to bypass sign-up limits, bans, identity checks, or platform safeguards.
  • Fake new-user identities, repeatedly claim first-order offers, or disrupt the service with automated requests.

We may limit requests or suspend related services if activity involves abuse or threatens service security. If you’re unsure whether an offer permits temporary addresses, check the store’s promotion terms or ask the store. We can’t determine your eligibility for you.

04 / Shopping and account responsibilities

An offer may be short-lived; an order may not be.

The store’s terms for transactions, payment, delivery, refunds, and offers apply independently. Inboxtick isn’t involved in fulfilling orders, can’t verify a seller’s promises, and can’t cancel orders, issue refunds, or restore store accounts through its email service.

Decide which accounts are suitable for temporary addresses, and keep an accessible email channel for future verification. For payment records, delivery problems, warranties, refund confirmations, or account recovery, use your long-term email address or a fixed alias if you understand the limits of forwarding.

One more check before you order

  • Check whether the store uses email as the only way to reset your password. If it does, don’t use only a temporary address.
  • Check where future order updates will be sent. Getting a verification code now doesn’t mean you won’t need to receive email later.
  • If you’ve already signed up with a temporary address, change the email in your account settings as soon as possible and complete any verification the store requires for the new address.

If you’re not sure whether to unsubscribe, filter messages, or change your address, read our comparison of four options. If promotions have already filled up your main inbox, see how to clean up promotional emails.

05 / Security and service limitations

Keep your credentials safe; delivery depends on the whole chain.

Protect your sign-in email, temporary inbox access details, and authenticator keys. Don’t share pages containing credentials, verification codes, or sensitive emails. On a public or shared device, sign out of your forwarding account and avoid leaving browser data that could provide access to your inbox.

Forwarding accounts support two-step verification. To set it up, scan the QR code with a mobile app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password, then enter the 6-digit code shown in the app to confirm. Keep your authenticator and its key secure; don’t send them to anyone along with a sign-in verification code.

If you don’t receive an email, check these things first

  • Check the full address you submitted, the time remaining, and whether the sending platform explicitly says it rejects temporary email addresses.
  • Refresh your inbox manually and check that the page has no connection error. Avoid requesting verification codes repeatedly in a short period.
  • For forwarding, check that the alias is enabled, then check your real inbox’s spam folder and filter rules.
  • If verification is time-limited, promptly use another verification method or email-change option provided by the sending platform.

Network issues, sender restrictions, recipient filters, or maintenance can cause delays and failures. We don’t guarantee that every email will be delivered, a specific delivery time, or uninterrupted service. Don’t rely on this service as your only channel for emergencies, critical business notifications, or recovery of important accounts.

Receiving an email doesn’t mean its contents are trustworthy. For payments, passwords, or identity information, open the relevant platform yourself to verify them; don’t rely on a brand name in an email. See our Privacy Notice.

06 / Changes and contact

Check here for updates; contact us by email.

If we change service features or terms of use, we’ll post the updated terms on this page and change the update date at the top. Review the current version before continuing to use the service. If you don’t accept the new terms, stop using the service and first save any information you still need that hasn’t expired.

If you have a problem, email support@inboxtick.com with the time it happened, the feature you were using, and the error message shown on the page. Don’t include sign-in verification codes, full inbox credentials, authenticator keys, or unnecessary sensitive email content.

We’ll reply by email, but we don’t promise a fixed response time, delivery service level, or compensation. For issues involving orders, offer eligibility, or payments, contact the relevant store as well. For information about how we handle personal data, read our Privacy Notice.

Use a temporary address only when you’re sure you need it once.

For accounts you may need to recover later, use an email address you can keep accessing. Even for short-term verification, check the validity period and the store’s rules first.
